Lumigon T2 hands-on at MWC 2012 (video)

We've been waiting for Lumigon to get around to launching its Android opus for a while now. Fortunately, MWC is precisely the right kind of place for a new company to catch the eye of the mobile press. With Ice Cream Sandwich and Bang and Olufsen involvement, we had to take a look at the Lumigon T2 for ourselves. First impressions are after the break, with a video run-through of the stainless-steel lined phone thrown in for good measure.

For the past few months most of the tablets we've seen have been running Windows 8, but at CES this week Android tablets have seen a resurgence of sorts, starting with two from Vizio and now the Iconia B1-A71 from Acer. It's hardly a flagship tablet. Quite the opposite actually: it has a dual-core Mediatek processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, a 7-inch 1,024 x 600 display and a single 0.3-megapixel camera. We just got a glimpse of an E Ink watch, the result of a partnership between Central Standard Timing and E Ink itself. The real standout feature here is the 0.8mm design, which is apparently thinner than a credit card. In any case, the stainless steel design is super svelte. The whole package consists of several flexible components that are laminated into a 0.5mm unit, which is then etched into a piece of flexible stainless steel. RCA's new Mobile TV Tablet appeared in the flesh here at Pepcom at CES 2013. The 8-inch tablet's a little weighty, but packs a combination DTV and Dyle TV tuner -- an industry first -- so we'll forgive it a little.
