The federal government is wondering why Verizon Wireless wants to sell some parts of its radio spectrum if it is allowed to acquire spectrum licenses from a group of cable companies.

Rogers Communications has announced that it will be buying both wireless spectrum licenses and Mountain Cable from Shaw Communications.
