Gadgets We Love, The Natesh Sood Edition

Section: Gadgets / Other, Features, Originals Being a tech blogger I’ve come to realize it’s not always about having the latest and greatest devices, but being satisfied with what you have and knowing how to use it to its fullest potential.  On a day to day basis I use pretty mediocre devices—nothing high end—but at the end of the day, I’m able to accomplish everything I need to do.  In addition to talking about the main electronics I use, I would like to mention a few websites and software services that helps me get through my day.  Without further adieu, let me ta... Dell rep says you can download Android 2.1 for the Dell Aero from the Market, and it may be free

Section: Communications, Cellphones, Cellular Providers, Smartphones When Dell announced the Aero for AT&T, one piece of information was missing: what version of Android it would run out of the box.  I noticed a convenient link to chat with a Dell Representative and I decided to inquire about which version of the Android OS it would feature.  With the Dell Streak launching with Android 1.6, I would not have been surprised to find out the Dell Aero would run Android 1.5 or Android 1.6.  The lady at Dell I chatted with was nice enough to look up the information for me and sai... Samsung DROID Charge shown running Android 2.3 in video, possible leak imminent

One shortcoming of the recently launched 4G LTE smartphone on Verizon Wireless—the Samsung DROID Charge—is the fact that it’s only running Android 2.2.  As you can probably gather, Samsung does plan on releasing an upgrade to Android 2.3 at some time in the near future, but for now, a video has surfaced from TeamBlackHat and it shows the DROID Charge running Gingerbread.  The first part of the video shows the owner going to the settings page and showing the camera the fact that it is running Android 2.3.3, and after that the user opens up the Netflix app and plays&#... Section: Audio, Portable Audio, Video, Portable Video, Gadgets / Other, Reviews, Features, Originals One of the newer and cheaper MP3 players on the market today is the SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ MP3 Player.  It comes in a variety of colors and versions with varying storages, but the model I am reviewing is the purple device with 8GB of on board storage.  I have only been using the device for a few weeks now and the device has met my expectations overall, but hasn’t exceeded my expectations except for the UI which is a slick touch interface.  My main complaints with the device is... Section: Communications, Cellphones, Cellular Providers, Smartphones, Reviews, Features, Originals The Samsung Fascinate is the fourth Galaxy S smartphone to launch in the United States and it is Verizon’s own flavor of the Galaxy S.  It is similar in aesthetics and hardware to the Samsung Vibrant and Captivate, but also bears LED flash which is a feature only found in the Samsung Epic 4G.  Currently I am still in the process of reviewing the phone but it has met my expectations that I have come to expect from Galaxy S devices.  There are really no complaints with the pho... Section: Communications, Cellphones, Cellular Providers, Smartphones, Mobile Pre-ordering a smartphone usually has its advantages, sometimes carriers bundle incentives and, at the very least, you’re guaranteed a phone when it launches.  However, it looks like AT&T will not be allowing its customers to pre-order any of the WP7 devices launching.  In fact, the Samsung Focus and the HTC Surround are launching on November 8 and customers will have to go to AT&T retail stores that day to pick up a hot new WP7 phone.  It is weird how we are finding out only now that pre...
