Contest: 50 copies of Word GO! Spelling by Zeebu Mobile to be won!

The Blundell brood has been no stranger to the application line up from Zeebu Mobile. The last app we looked at was the ArtGo Colouring application for the BlackBerry PlayBook, well, my son had more of a look at it than I did. Zeebu Mobile recently released another “edutaining” application by the name of WordGo! Spelling. Made for BlackBerry smartphone, with or without a touch screen, WordGo! Spelling has a library of over 50 words ranging between 3 and 5 letters in length. The application uses images to first help the child determine the word and then learn to spell the word. Each lette... Read similar

CrackBerry guide to BlackBerry taxi and transit apps

Get from Point A to Point B with these BlackBerry apps! Welcome to the CrackBerry Guide to Taxi and Transit applications. If you thought your BlackBerry helped you while in transit only when you’re behind the wheel, then think again. I’m not talking about keeping entertained or catching up on email either. Before you hail a cab, or before you step off of the train, you can use BlackBerry applications to help you every step of the way. Well not every step; if you want a seat without gum stuck to it, you have to look for one yourself. I remember the first time I was introduced to the wonde... Read similar

    Review: PrivacyStar for BlackBerry

One of the things that annoy me is *ring* oh, hold on. I’m getting a call. Hello? Sorry wrong number. Where was I, oh yes, so what annoys me is when you *ring*, just a second. Yes hello? No. No sorry. No I don’t want a sign up. Put me on your do not call list. Sorry about that. As you can probably tell it’s those types of calls that get under my skin. I’m talking about the unknown/private numbers that make your BlackBerry ring. Every time one of those sneaky calls come in, you are unsure if you should answer or not. Is it important? Is it an emergency? Is it an ex? Is it a telemarketer? T... Read similar

Could RIM and China Mobile be launching BIS?

Word on the street is that China Mobile and RIM are currently piecing together plan rates for BIS. In other words, they are reportedly planning to expand BlackBerry service to individual users. In Guangdong, GoTone customers have had two plans made available to them, priced at 98 Yuan (Renminbi) and 108 Yuan (approximately $14.41 and $15.89 USD, respectively). Currently, enterprises act as BES wholesalers (unofficially) for individual users in some cities across the country. With BIS in place, customer will be able to pay for plans straight from China Mobile. read moreCrackBerry.com's fee... Read similar

CrackBerry guide to BlackBerry school apps

Become the Teacher's Pet with these BlackBerry apps! Doesnt it seem like I have a bad habit of pointing out what some people fear and dread? Its not that I get any pleasure out of it (bah-hahahaa). Like it or not, its almost time for school. Its a new year; a year full of possibilities, memories and accomplishments. For some the joy (or pain) starts with a trip to get school supplies. If I were you, I would hold off on the sighing, whining and shuffling of your feet while the shopping cart fills up. Sharing in the excitement with your parents will probably pay off; and Ill ... Read similar

ArtGO! turns your BlackBerry into a coloring book

“Well, I made the duck blue because I'd never seen a blue duck before and I wanted to see one.” If you take a look back at our “What you may have missed this week” post from around Fathers Day, you can see the artwork my son drew for me. It’s amazing how those first few scribbles fill us with such pride; and sometimes confusion. “I thought it was a car..” “No, it’s a monkey.” Then comes the colouring; some focus so intensely on staying within the lines, others colour as if the picture just exploded. Either way, they are works of art and very fridge worthy. Zeebu Mobile, developers ... Read similar

    Review: Trapster 4.0 for BlackBerry

Despite accepting – and even flaunting – my BlackBerry addiction, I *cough* always make sure to follow the rules of the road. That means Bluetooth Headset in ear and two hands on the wheel (most of the time). Speaking of which, are you reading this while driving?! For crying out loud, put your BlackBerry down and read it later! The rest of you, carry on. As I was saying, safe driving doesn’t end there, oh no Mr Leadfoot. Now while you may complain about speed traps, red light cameras and other Speed Racer deterrents, they are in place for a reason. Sure I get mad when traffic slows down to... Read similar
